We met at a retreat in Bali in early 2026: two therapists from opposite coasts who'd signed up for the same reason, even if neither of us would've said it out loud at the time.
We needed a break. A real one. The kind where you're not just “off” but actually refilling. But here's the thing: we both felt like we needed permission to go. And for both of us, the continuing education credits were that permission. CEUs made it feel less like something we were doing for ourselves and more like something we could justify to our schedules, our families, our own inner critics that said we should be working instead.
The retreat was beautiful. Transformative, even. But on one of those late-night conversations where you say the things you don't usually say, we realized something: the best part wasn't the training. It was what happened around it. The conversations. The rest. The feeling of being in a room full of people who actually understood the weight of the work we do and didn't need us to explain it.
What if we built a retreat designed around that feeling?
One where the CEUs are real and the clinical content is excellent but where the rest of the experience is just as intentional. Where therapists and helping professionals don't have to pretend they're only there for the credits. Where you can show up exhausted and leave feeling like a person again.
That's Wisdom Well.
